Last Call: The Specs Film needs to raise funds for the remaining production, editing and finishing costs.  In round figures, editing will cost approximately $75,000; the remaining production expenses including interviews and visuals, approximately, $15,000; and finishing costs, including animation, archival rights, sound mix, music, etc. will cost $135,000.   Our team has a track record of bringing films successfully across the finish line, come hell, high water, or the last call.

$25,000 Platinum Donors

PLATINUM DONORS to the project will receive on-screen sponsorship credit including: company logo, tagline and url for a duration of no greater than fifteen seconds (15) in descending order of contribution level. All sponsorships are pre-approved to ensure compliance with PBS and Public Television broadcast standards. PLATINUM DONORS also receive a limited edition 22” x 30” archival pigmented print of an historical portrait of Specs Simmons, signed and numbered, a Specs’ Last Call T-Shirt designed by producer/director Elly Simmons, a Specs’ coffee mug designed by artist & Specs’ bartender Michael Grim, and five DVD’s of the film. $15,000 Gold Contributor

Gold Contributors receive on screen sponsorship credit, a piece of San Francisco Historical Memorabilia from Specs Simmons’ private collection, a 22” x 30” archival pigmented print of an historical portrait of Specs himself, a Michael Grim Specs’ bartender coffee mug, as well as a DVD of the film. $10,000 Silver Contributor

Silver Contributors will be honored with a special private evening at the colorful and bizarre warehouse of Last Gasp Comics, hosted by Publisher Ronald Turner, good for six people, a collection of ten Last Gasp books will be gifted, food and libations will be served and you will meet some of the Last Gasp Comics artists and authors, as well as receive a DVD of the film. WILD!!

$5,000 Anti-Fascist Supporter

Anti-Fascist Supporters will receive a 22” x 30” archival pigmented print of “Little Richie Fighting Fascism” by artist/film director and Specs’ daughter, Ms. Elly Simmons as well as an archival pigmented print of the Spanish Civil War poster on the wall of Specs, and a private screening at Specs’ bar of films by Specs’ patron filmmaker Dominic Angerame, founder of Canyon Cinema, and a DVD of the Specs film. $3,600 Mensch of Film Arts

Mensch Supporters will receive an archival pigmented print of “Little Richie Fighting Fascism, a Beer Can Yarmulke by Specs regular, artist, writer & bartender Jack the Hat, a Michael Grim coffee mug and a DVD of the film. L’CHAIM!

$2,500 Political Activist

Political Activists will receive a collection of books and posters by politically active Specs’ regulars, including past Poet Laureate of San Francisco, Jack Hirschman, current Poet Laureate of the United States of America Juan Felipe Herrera, internationally exhibited artist Elly Simmons, San Francisco Poet Laureate Alejandro Murguia, as well as a DVD of the film. Poet Laureate supporters will receive a collection of five signed poetry books by Specs regulars from the Wednesday night writers group, an 11” x 14” archival pigmented print of a work by Specs’ regular poet and artist Agneta Falk, as well as a DVD of the film. POETS LIKE TO SHAKE UP A JOINT!

Master Printer supporters will received a fresh off the press! limited edition 22” x 30” archival pigmented print by Specs’ regular poet and artist Francisco Orrego, one signed book of poetry by Jack Hirschman as well as a DVD of the film. WE SUPPORT OUR KICKASS ARTISTS!
